Bose SoundLink Flex Review (2026)
Bose SoundLink Flex review: sound, PositionIQ, waterproofing, and value assessed from specs and published reviews.
Bose SoundLink Flex
Refined sound that adapts to its position.
Our verdict
The SoundLink Flex is the thinking person's portable speaker: PositionIQ automatically tunes the EQ to however the speaker is positioned, and the result is consistently balanced, detailed sound. It costs more than rivals and uses older Bluetooth 4.2, but for pure listening quality in a tiny package it earns its premium.
What we like
- Clear, balanced sound with PositionIQ auto EQ
- IP67 waterproof and dustproof
- Compact and genuinely pocketable
What to watch out for
- Priced above similarly sized rivals
- No stereo pairing without a second unit
- Bluetooth 4.2 is a generation behind
Who it is for
Listeners who prioritize sound refinement and portability over maximum volume.
Design and durability
Compact, handsome, and IP67 sealed with a powder-coated steel grille. It feels premium in a way budget rivals do not. The utility loop on the back is a thoughtful touch for hanging.
Sound performance
PositionIQ detects orientation and adjusts EQ, so it sounds right lying flat, standing up, or hanging. Clarity and balance are excellent; it will not out-thump the JBL at maximum volume.
Battery and value
Twelve hours is solid. The premium price buys refinement rather than raw specs, which is a fair trade if sound quality is your priority.
