The Best Panini Presses (2026)
Crispy crusts, melted centers, and presses that earn their counter space.
A panini press does one job that a skillet does poorly: applying even heat and pressure to both sides of a sandwich at once. That is the whole difference between a sandwich with a crisp crust and a melted center and one that is merely warm. The best presses add versatility, grilling, griddling, and adjustable hinges, so the machine earns its counter space beyond lunch.
This guide compares the standout panini presses on the things that decide the result: plate design and heat distribution, hinge adjustability for thick sandwiches, versatility beyond panini, and cleanup. Every pick names its trade-off plainly.
