Pure Enrichment MistAire Review (2026)
Research-based review of the Pure Enrichment MistAire: compact ultrasonic humidifier, noise, runtime, and small-room value assessed.

Pure Enrichment MistAire
Compact ultrasonic humidifier for desks and nightstands.
Our verdict
The Pure Enrichment MistAire is great for one person in one small room: it is near-silent, fits on a nightstand, shuts itself off when the 1.5L tank empties, and costs little. But anyone humidifying more than about 250 sq ft should look at the Levoit Classic 300S instead, because the MistAire's small tank needs refilling every day or two at useful output levels, and it has no humidity sensor to prevent overdoing it in a sealed bedroom.
What we like
- Very quiet ultrasonic operation
- Compact 1.5L footprint
- Auto shut-off when empty
What to watch out for
- Small tank needs frequent refills
- No humidity sensor or auto mode
- Best for rooms under 250 sq ft
Who it is for
Budget buyers who need quiet humidity for a small bedroom, desk, or office.
Size and noise
At 1.5 liters it is genuinely compact, and ultrasonic operation means the only sound is faint water trickle. The 360-degree nozzle aims mist where you want it, and the optional night light doubles as a soft bedroom lamp. This is the unit you buy when the humidifier must disappear into the room.
Runtime reality
The advertised 25 hours applies to the lowest mist setting. At the medium output most people actually use, expect to refill daily. That is fine for a nightstand routine and annoying if you wanted weekly maintenance. The auto shut-off when empty is essential given how fast the small tank drains.
How it stacks up
Against the Levoit Classic 300S (6L, 60-hour runtime, humidity sensor, 505 sq ft coverage), the MistAire holds a quarter of the water and covers roughly half the area, but it costs significantly less and takes up far less space. Against the Honeywell HCM-350 (1.1 gallons, evaporative, 24-hour runtime), the MistAire is silent where the Honeywell hums, but the Honeywell self-regulates humidity while the MistAire will keep misting until the tank runs dry.

Questions, answered
How big a room can it handle?
Best under about 250 sq ft. Beyond that the output cannot keep up and you will run it on high constantly.
Does it need distilled water?
In hard-water areas, yes, to avoid white dust. It has no mineral-trapping filter like evaporative models.
Can the night light be turned off?
Yes, the night light operates independently of the mist settings.
