Furbo 360 Dog Camera Review (2026)
A research-based review of the Furbo 360: auto-tracking, treat tossing, barking alerts, and the real cost with the Nanny subscription.

Furbo 360 Dog Camera
The treat-tossing camera that follows your dog around the room.
Our verdict
The Furbo 360 is the most complete dog camera made, and the most expensive to own. Buy it if you want barking alerts, treat tossing, and auto-tracking in one device and accept the subscription math. Skip it if you will not pay for Nanny, without it you lose the smart alerts that justify the premium, or if you want local storage, because there is none.
What we like
- 360-degree rotating view with auto pet tracking
- Treat tossing with adjustable launch distance
- Barking alerts with optional Furbo Nanny subscription
What to watch out for
- Smart alerts require the paid Nanny subscription
- No local storage, cloud only
- Treat size limited to small round treats
Who it is for
Dog owners who want the full interactive monitoring experience and accept a subscription.
Auto-tracking and coverage
The 360-degree rotating base follows detected motion, keeping a pacing dog in frame where fixed cameras lose it at the room's edge. In practice the tracking handles one dog well; two dogs playing confuse it, and it occasionally tracks a swaying curtain. The 1080p sensor is standard for the category, sharp enough to read the dog's posture and see what it is chewing, not sharp enough to read text across the room.
Treat tossing
The hopper holds roughly 100 small treats and launches them a few feet with adjustable distance. The mechanism is reliable with small, round, hard treats and jams with soft or irregular shapes, a constraint shared by every treat camera. The pre-toss click sound becomes a conditioned cue within days: dogs learn to wait by the camera, which owners describe as either adorable or the creation of a new demanding ritual.
Barking alerts and the Nanny question
The barking alert system is the Furbo's real differentiator: it distinguishes barking from background noise and pushes an alert with a video clip. But the smart alert features require the Furbo Nanny subscription. Without it you get live view, talk, and tossing, but not the intelligence layer. Price the camera as hardware plus 24 months of Nanny and compare honestly against the Eufy before deciding.
How it stacks up
Against the Eufy Pet Camera, the Furbo wins on tracking (360 auto vs 270 manual pan) and treat capacity, but loses on subscription burden: the Eufy's on-device detection is free forever. Against the Petcube Bites 2, the Furbo wins on coverage and tracking while the Petcube counters with built-in Alexa. Against the Wyze Cam v3, the Furbo is a different product class entirely, interactive versus observational, at roughly five times the total cost. Buy the Furbo for interaction, the Eufy for value, the Wyze for observation.

Questions, answered
What size treats fit in the Furbo 360?
Small, round treats about the size of a pea to a marble. Furbo sells its own treats sized for the mechanism, but any small hard round treat works. Avoid soft, sticky, or irregularly shaped treats: they jam the launcher.
Does the Furbo 360 work without Wi-Fi?
No. The Furbo requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection for all functions including local live view. If your internet drops, the camera is a paperweight until it reconnects. Place it within strong signal range of your router.
Can it watch cats too?
Yes, mechanically. But the barking alerts are dog-tuned and the treat tosser is sized for dog treats. Cat owners get more from the Wyze's night vision or the Petcube's wide angle at lower cost.
