#1 in our rankings · Best overall

HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless
Best for: PC gamers who want set-and-forget battery life with DTS spatial audio.
Our recommendation
Buy the Cloud Alpha Wireless if you want proven comfort and a battery you never think about, for meaningfully less money. Buy the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless if you want ANC, Bluetooth, hot-swap batteries, and the best software tuning, and accept the premium.
Battery philosophy
HyperX bets on one giant battery: 300 hours. SteelSeries bets on two hot-swappable 22-hour batteries. Both solve charging anxiety; HyperX is simpler, SteelSeries never even pauses.
Features
The Nova Pro adds hybrid ANC, Bluetooth, and the base station with source switching. The Cloud Alpha is deliberately simpler: 2.4GHz wireless done well, with DTS spatial audio as its main extra.
Sound and comfort
The Nova Pro sounds more detailed and its Sonar EQ is excellent. The Cloud Alpha is tuned more forgivingly and its comfort is legendary. Neither is uncomfortable; the Nova Pro fits slightly smaller.

Made your call?
Questions, answered
Is the Nova Pro worth double the price?
Only if you use the extras: ANC, Bluetooth, hot-swap, and Sonar. For pure gaming audio and comfort, the Cloud Alpha gets you most of the way there.
Which has the better microphone?
The Nova Pro's retractable ClearCast Gen 2 is better, with stronger noise cancellation. The Cloud Alpha's detachable mic is good but a step behind.
