Our recommendation
Buy Brooklinen Super-Plush if you want the thickest, most luxurious bath towel and already own hand towels and washcloths. Buy the Utopia 8 piece set if you want a complete bathroom refresh, with thick cotton and spares, at a budget outlay. Both absorb well; the choice is about luxury feel against completeness and value.
Pile thickness and feel
Brooklinen at 820 GSM with z-twist construction gives a denser, more sculpted pile that holds its shape when folded. Utopia at 600 GSM with ring spun cotton gives a thick, plush pile that feels generous but less dense. The difference is noticeable side by side, though both dry the body well in one pass.
Size
Brooklinen bath towels measure 30 by 58 inches, larger than the Utopia bath towels at 27 by 54 inches. That extra size gives more coverage and wrap, which matters for larger adults, though both sizes suit most users for drying.
Set completeness and value
Utopia includes eight pieces: bath, hand, and washcloth sizes, so a bathroom is fully refreshed in one box at a budget outlay. Brooklinen includes four bath towels only, at a premium outlay, so hand towels and washcloths need a separate purchase. On value per piece, Utopia wins clearly; on feel per towel, Brooklinen wins.

Strengths and limitations
Brooklinen Super-Plush Turkish Cotton Bath Towels, Set of 4
Strengths
- The 820 GSM weight and z-twist construction give a dense, sculpted pile that feels genuinely luxurious and holds its shape when folded.
- Turkish cotton with long staple fibres absorbs well and feels soft against skin, without the scratchiness of cheaper cotton.
- The 30 by 58 inch size is larger than a standard bath towel, so coverage is generous for most adults.
Limitations
- At 820 GSM these are heavy towels, and they take the longest to dry on a rail in this list.
- The set is bath towels only, so hand towels and washcloths need a separate purchase for a full bathroom.
- The premium outlay buys feel and weight, not faster drying, so practical buyers may prefer a lighter set.
Utopia Towels 8 Piece Premium Towel Set, 600 GSM
Strengths
- The 600 GSM ring spun cotton gives a thick, plush feel that absorbs well, so one bath towel usually does the job after a shower.
- Eight pieces cover the whole bathroom routine: two bath towels, two hand towels, and four washcloths, with spares for guests.
- The generous bath towel size suits most adults, and the set comes in many colours, so matching a bathroom is easy.
Limitations
- Thick 600 GSM towels take longer to dry on a rail than lighter towels, which matters in a humid bathroom.
- The full set is bulky in a wash load, so a large set needs a larger machine or split washes.
- Very thick pile can feel heavy when wet, and smaller users may prefer a lighter towel for wrapping.

Questions, answered
Which set dries faster on a rail?
Utopia, since 600 GSM towels hold less water than 820 GSM towels and dry sooner. Both need a spread-out rail, but Brooklinen takes noticeably longer in a humid bathroom.
Which is better for a guest bathroom?
Utopia, because the eight piece set covers every size a guest needs, with spares. Brooklinen suits a main bathroom where luxury feel is used daily, rather than a guest bathroom refreshed occasionally.
Is Brooklinen worth the premium over Utopia?
Yes, if pile density, size, and staying power matter most to you, and no, if completeness and value matter most. Both are good towels; the premium buys feel, not a different kind of drying.
