Utopia 8 Piece 600 GSM Towel Set Review (2026)
In-depth review of the Utopia 8 piece towel set: thick ring spun cotton, complete bathroom coverage, and whether it is still the value benchmark.
Utopia Towels 8 Piece Premium Towel Set, 600 GSM
The family restock: eight pieces of thick ring spun cotton that cover bath, hand, and washcloth needs in one box.
Our verdict
The Utopia 8 piece set is the best value bath towel set for most households, because it gives thick, absorbent cotton and a complete bathroom in one box, at a budget outlay. The 600 GSM ring spun pile absorbs well in one pass, the set covers bath, hand, and washcloth needs with spares, and the colour range suits most bathrooms. Thick towels dry slower on a rail, and the set is bulky in the wash, but neither caveat changes the core judgement: this is the set to buy when a bathroom needs restocking properly.
What we like
- The 600 GSM ring spun cotton gives a thick, plush feel that absorbs well, so one bath towel usually does the job after a shower.
- Eight pieces cover the whole bathroom routine: two bath towels, two hand towels, and four washcloths, with spares for guests.
- The generous bath towel size suits most adults, and the set comes in many colours, so matching a bathroom is easy.
What to watch out for
- Thick 600 GSM towels take longer to dry on a rail than lighter towels, which matters in a humid bathroom.
- The full set is bulky in a wash load, so a large set needs a larger machine or split washes.
- Very thick pile can feel heavy when wet, and smaller users may prefer a lighter towel for wrapping.
Who it is for
Families and guest bathrooms that need a complete, thick towel set without paying a premium brand price.
A complete bathroom in one box
The eight piece count is the point: two bath towels, two hand towels, and four washcloths mean a bathroom is refreshed without a second order, and guests have spares without raiding the main towels. That completeness, combined with thick cotton, is why the set suits family bathrooms and guest bathrooms alike: it solves the whole problem, not just the bath towel part of it.
Thick cotton, honest trade-offs
Ring spun cotton at 600 GSM gives a plush, thirsty pile that dries the body well, and the bath towels at 27 by 54 inches suit most adults. The trade is drying time: thick towels need a spread-out rail and ventilation, and a full set is bulky in a wash load. Households with a small machine should split the set across washes rather than cramming it in, since overloading leaves towels damp and stiff.
How it stacks up
Against the Brooklinen Super-Plush set, Utopia wins on completeness and value, while Brooklinen wins on pile density and size. Against the Lane Linen 6 piece set, Utopia wins on thickness and piece count, while Lane Linen wins on faster drying. Against the Cotton Paradise 6 piece set, Utopia wins on ring spun cotton refinement, while Cotton Paradise wins on a slightly lower outlay for a similar thick set.

Questions, answered
Do Utopia towels soften with washing?
Yes, like most cotton towels they improve after a first wash, which removes finishing and loosens the pile. Wash before first use, skip fabric softener, and dry on low heat or a line for the softest result.
Are the bath towels large enough for adults?
Yes, at 27 by 54 inches they suit most adults for drying, though taller users who want full wrap coverage should add a bath sheet rather than expecting a standard towel to wrap fully.
Why are thick towels slower to dry on a rail?
Because the dense pile holds more water, and a folded thick towel traps damp layers inside. Spread the towel fully, leave air gaps, and ventilate the bathroom, and even a 600 GSM towel dries in reasonable time.
