Soundbars: Reviews, Comparisons & Buying Guide
TV sound that finally matches the picture: clear dialogue, real bass, and surround that fills the room.
TV speakers have not kept up with TV pictures. A soundbar fixes the most common complaint first, which is dialogue you cannot follow without subtitles, and then adds the bass and spaciousness that make films feel like films. The hard part is choosing between a single bar, a bar with a subwoofer, and a full surround set, because each suits a different room and a different budget.
The picks below are ordered by what they do in a real living room, not by spec sheet theatre. A flagship like the Sonos Arc Ultra or Samsung Q990D earns its price with height channels, wireless rears, and a subwoofer that reaches the low notes. A compact bar like the Sony HT-S2000 or Bose 600 earns its place by sounding far bigger than it looks. Every pick here is a current model with a verified Amazon listing, and every trade-off is stated plainly.
